MX Select has patented their "rapid weight change system" that is unlike any other adjustable weights on the market. It features a yellow plastic dial that pops up to change the weight, and pushed back down to lock it in.
The dials extends or retracts a metal rod to lock into the nylon coated, steel core plates at the desired weight selection. There's no cheap plastic involved in this change mechanism - it 100% metal.
